Dear All,

Just wondering if anyone can please help me out here. Firstly I have always liked setting my phone to not send my number, i know on the P910i when you dial a number you can hide it...but is there a way to set it definatly so that all calls you make will not send your number out?
Second we are planning a birthday trick for my father... i know we're adults but hey, we want to send a txt message that I have written on my P910i to my P910i without "My number" coming up when the txt appears...any chance of getting "Unknown"

Thankyou so much if anyone can mainly help with my first question!

Bez x

You can't do it without 3rd party app. Perhaps this one is the one you're looking for:

But I've never used it so I don't know how it works exactly.

I dont thinkits going to happen in basic form.
Unless some application (call manager) that helps is installed.
The ACM (Advanced Call Manager) from Webgate too doesn't provide this.

On my phone - The MMS Message settings->Advanced Tab showsa check box option to "hide number". But thats it.

Is it important that there in no number or can it be just an unknown number. If the latter is the case you can just ask one of your friends to lend you their phone. the cheapest and easiest way.

Loco I dont know how that'll help, but if you say so. The basic thing still remains- how to set the show/ hide identity mode on P910 to 'hide' ? This message was posted from a S700

You can hide your number when calling but not when sending an sms. Which phone supports the latter function? Never heard of that one before.

if you send an SMS to a person, who do they know its from or who to reply too?

if your only sending a few msgs, why not try O2 online, you get 10 free txts per month and it dusnt send any number apart from some weird 1!

or even better, you may use ICQ to send SMS to any cell phone without any Network restriction.
