> Dropped my wifes P800 in Loo yesterday
Bookmark topic
Down the toilet- fell of the cistern straight into the bowl. (feel like a fool)
Will my insurance cover this???
also, will the insurance want to repair it - considering it was in a toilet, or will they just relace it???.
Are p800's still available to insurance companys to replace it with???
or might i get a p900 or something.
Thanks.

Please tell me it was after the loo had been flushed!
First thing, take the battery out immediately and take the phone apart as much as you dare or are competent to. Then put it somewhere warm, like an airing cupboard for a couple of days to dry out thoroughly. If you're lucky it may still work!
Not sure about the insurance though, though I think many of them do keep a stock of older models for this kind of eventuality. You'll have to have a look at your policy fine print to see if they do 'new for old' cover, and if you just get a financial payout or something.

I dropped my P910 down the loo and it was totally drowned.
I removed the battery immediately and let it dry till the next day. It sort of worked but the screen had water stuck under the touch sensitive layer.
It dried after another day and has been fine since.
Lucky or what?

What were you doing with a p800 in the loo?

There was thread by someone who had dropped a z800 the same route..look it up..
i doubt if such damage is covered, but try your luck..you never know these days

I woulda thought that, depending upon your policy, Accidental damage would be included?

, I was on mine once while taking a number 1, then dropped it, after about 4 attempts at catching it i eventually ended up hitting it, it went out the door (past the missus who just watched it) and down the stair case.
I never new whether to laugh or not, but I did anyway, and my mate was still on the other end when I picked it up.
Glad it never went down the loo,

thats even funnier.
