i seen a few threads asking how to mute camera sound all you do is hold # key down before opening camera shutter then all sounds for camera are muted even auto focus
(the phone is in silent mode so dont forget to press and hold hash key after or you wont here your calls

That trick doenst work on all versions of the phones firmware. It depends on the country the phone is sold in and the customisation of the phone.

It's against the law in some countries...perves taking pictures lol...The one I thought was funny was the article where by one sex (can't remember guy or girl..think it was girl actually) pays a guy (for arguments sake) to go into the changing rooms to take pic of the guys naked >.<

dude, some regional firmware DOES NOT ALLOW muting of the camera. On those phones, the # trick doesn't work. It mutes the phone alright, but not the camera.
This has already been mentioned in this very thread!!!
THE ONLY way to mute the camera on such phones without flashing the region firmware, is to make a call (preferably a free number with an automated voice) and open the camera WHILE STILL ON THE CALL. If you use the camera whilst on a call it will be muted.
Hope that clears that up, once and for all
(but I doubt it will)
