Hi everyone!
I always have problems connecting to my freaking station so I hope I'll be of any help.Good luck in advance!!
First of all uninstall your Pc suite AND the SEMC DSS Syncstation driver you have installed on your PC,via "Add/ Remove programs" option. You will be told to remove your Usb cabel before uninstalling the usb driver.Restart your PC and put the usb cable back and your phone on your syncstation.Reinstall your PC suite and your Pc should automaticly new hardware (your syncstation) and will install the driver for it and will automaticly detect your usb cable and install the driver for that too (usually on com3)
If everything goes well you will be asked to restart your pc.Afterwards (with the phone on the syncstation) a popup window will appear stating you to give a name to your phone. You should by then see the connectivity line on the bottom right corner on your tray,(At some time after you have restarted your Pc ,if you have a firewall, like zonealarm, installed it will ask you if some programs should be "allowed" at startup. These are the programs:
1.MROUTE~2.EXE
2.CONNMN~1.EXE
3.CapMan.exe
4.ElogErr.exe
5.BROADC~1.EXE
6.SCRFS.exe
7.Ecfmserv.exe
*ALLOW THEM ALL*
Right click on it and choose "properties" and you should see some multiple "boxes" amongst them a USB box.If it's not checked, check it and see if it states "connected".Thats your COM port.Close all window boxes and go to "start"
-"My computer" right click on it and check "Properties" and go to the "Device manager".Click the "COM port" box and you should see your SEMC DSS syncstation on com3 (or other com ) Right click on it and choose "Properties" again.Click on your "Port settings" they should be
Bits per second:115200
Data bits:8
Parity:None
Stop bits:1
Flow control:Hardware
Close all window boxes and go to "start"-"Control panel"-
"Phone monitor options".Under "Cellular phones" you should see your phone and under "com ports" your com should be enabled but NOT reserved.Under "Setup" choose "Always display the icon".Apply and exit.Remember that your phone has to be turned off and on again after you installed the Pc suite(sort of like a restart!) Well thats sort of what I remember after I've installed it about 5 times and after 4 formatting of my PC.Note that zonealarm or norton or SP2 *DO NOT* block the connectivity of the station with your PC! Only if you have zonealarm activated you will be warned that(after putting your phone on the station) some programs are trying to "act as servers " or trying to connect.Remember Just say yes! Good luck! Feel free to e-mail me at chrisathana@yahoo.gr for any problems!
