Aztecs predicted that this is the date for the 5th World event, they have been spot on with them all, so something is going to happen on that date, world ending? life on other planets?

I don't take any notice of things like that.

It's like when the football commentators say that A team haven't beaten B team away from home since 1912 or something, then A team thrash the other team senseless. The world has supposedly ended many times before and we're still here.

Generally speaking, the only people who can stop the world ending in a big bang is us, humans. it'll be our own stupid fault (or at least our leaders) if we all get killed!

Though of course we're all presuming this 'prediction' is dire - it could be good, like aliens making first contact, or George W Bush been sacked

you know bush did break the tradition... every 20 years, a president got killed, or died from something... 1940... 1960... 1980... then 2000 came around... and bush didnt die... so maybe bush will be killed :was gonna do a face, but didnt know what one to makeeee:

im not sure how long that tradition dates back, but i know it was awhile...
