Hi Guys,
Not had my phone long (w800i,4 days). I received 4 files today, all sis files. They are currently stored in the file manager>Other. They have totally random names such as Omjafszf,bg8_d7uu,roe_nfag and zawbh7gg0e.
Any ideas what these are and what i am supposed to do with them?
Any help appreciated
John

same question here. with 6680 i could open all those pix, files whatever, but in k6 i cannot. the manual of that wonder ( k6 ) says i can play wav files, but i cannot open the nokia blew tone ( TM by brother @tranquil ) and use it as ringtone.

.sis files are symbian based files, therefore will not work on a W800i etc as its a Java based platform phone.

also be careful what files you open, many viruses can be found in.sis files if you were to open them.

basically, if you don't know what they are or where they came from, just DELETE them immediately.

hope this helps in some way,

defensive

@ boba - you should be able to use a .wav file, try going to file manager etc and selecting it, does it play and not use as ringtone. or is it just sitting there and cant be opened?

All .sis files only work on a symbian based phones & as far as I know, W800 doesn't have symbian operating system, it can install java, MIDP 1 & MIDP 2 applications.
