Firstly, does anyone know what model of synchstation has an SE logo on the front that lights up when the phone is put on the charging connection? When I try to use the update service, I am told to use either a DSS-20 or DSS-25. I was sold this with a phone on Friday. I thought it was a DSS-25.
Next, has anyone used Holux GR-230 GPS bluetooth receiver with the P910i. I have paired it but when I switch off the receiver and then put it on, I have to delete it, refind it again and pair it again. Surely, this can't be right. I am about to return it and get another. It was sold as P910i compatible.
And lastly, does anyone have a P910i box, manual and CD's they no longer have a use for. I was sold one that did not come with these accessories. I will pay the postage and something for the contents.
Thanks
Doug

The DSS number should be on the label on the bottom.

for the BT, have you changed the settings in the phone so that it does not require pairing every time it connects? go to the BT menu, and you should see it (if not)

I've looked there already and there is a part number but no DSS number, nothing in fact to identify it. Looking at pictures on SE's website, there is nothing that looks like this at all.
I have ticked that option already. Question - does the route finding software poll the phone with then activates the pairing. I ask because I have paired this receiver without the software on there, which I get today.
Thanks
Doug

r66 does yes. once you've paired, then when the software starts, it cals the functions of the gps reciever. but it needs that initial pairing to recognise where to look. once you have the software on, if you still have a prob, let us know.

does your station actually have SE on it anywhere? certainly my dss25 has the number on the left side (its not that big a sticker!!). can you post pics, and someone might recognise it?

I have just spoken to Holux UK TS who reckon it might be duff and suggest I return it. I think I will put the software on first and then see if it calls up the pairing. If not, it goes back to MobileFun.
The synchstation has Sony Ericsson on the bottom but no other numbers. If I can I will take a photo tonight and see what comes up.
Thanks for your help.

@dougproctor

I suggeted that It could be a GPS receiver problem on you other thread b4, since it is not sual a device as to be paired again just because you switched it off...
