Hi to all...

I am thinking of upgrading the software on my T-68 to T-68i.

Just wanted to ask if it is worth it, because once its upgraded i will lose all my sms messages and contacts and will have to do save them manualy again.

What is the main difference between the 2 phones and are they any software problems?

If you have upgraded your phones software i would like to hear from you...

Thanks again

Hell yeah it's worth it!!! I take from your post that you don't use Bluetooth or IrDA or anything that will able you to back-up your #'s and SMS's. Tried copying it to your SIM?? (Don't know if possible on T68 never really tried). The only thing that went wrong with my T68 after the upgrade is that I can't use Bluetooth no more (see post http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=10501&forum=17 ) but that could be a computer problem aswell... I really have no idea. So a big YES to upgrading!!! Really worth it.

it's worth it... besides... the signs I have seen is that will not release any new software for T68m, but continuing the development of the software for T68i (and the MMS upgrade for T68m)

I use Bluetooth a lot. Than is the reason i have the T-68 in order to it to work with my Bluetooth ipaq 3870.

What you are saying is that if i upgrade the software from t-68 to t-68i i wont be able to use Bluetooth??????????

Is this realy going to hapen???? If yes i might as well keep the software on the phone because i use Bluetooth a lot.

Any of you that have a Bluetooth ipaq that works with an upgraded t-68?

Please Help

Well to be fair it isn't the Bluetooth that's acting up because that works just fine (the pairing and serial port thingy) it's just that before I upgraded it worked perfectly and after the Mobile Phone Manager is acting up, but maybe that's just in my case.

heck NO! you wont lose bluetooth. all you'll lose are user data. such as contacts and sms messages.

and yes you have to take it to a Service Point. they use special connectors and they are the only ones who have access to the servers.

????? serial port thingy??

Well i have an ipaq 3870 with intergrated bluetooth, and a t-68 phone with GPRS connection. I am able to surf the web, get my mails, etc with the bluetooth working together perfectly.

If i upgrade the software will i have any problems pairing these two devises?

I dont use Mobile Phone Manager (guess is a desktop software???) and i am not interested on geting on line with anything else than my ipaq.

Can you help?

Yeah you'll have no problems with that. My Bluetooth modem and such work without any problems. It's really a MPM problem.
