hi everybody. i'm considering buying the w800 next week. need to find out a few things.
1. how's the joystick? is it stable and durable?
2. how's the build quality. hate creaking.
3. can you minimize java apps. someone mentioned you can not.
4. someone mentioned a new bug with new firmware. he said gprs keeps switching on and off in opera mini and messenger apps. is there a way around this?
thanks guys. hope you can help or i'll wait 4 w550!!!

1. Joystick is good. No problems here.
2. First model kept switching off, but no problem in actual quality of build. Current model creaks on the battery cover.
3. You can. I played Worms on my W800i, and was going to quit, when it gave me the option to minimise.
4. Haven't been able to download the new firmware.

IMO you should go for the W800i, better camera, if that matters to you.

@Jits, if you're close to a CelluCity, maybe you could try out their Try-Before-You-Buy option. I see they're offering a 3-day trial on nearly all their new handsets, with a no-strings-attached returns policy... Maybe you should give that a shot, bro This message was posted from a Nokia

The back of my W800i creaks EXCEPT for the batter cover.

Weird.

ive had no problems with any of the about list!

The phone is great!

with orange you have a 7 or 14 day returns policy where you are able to try before you commit. good if you ask me, but im almost certain once you have this phone, you wont return it.

let us know what you decide!

Regards
