I bought a T68i from TMobile in the UK.
I then bought a HBH-30 bluetooth handsfree kit.
The T68i needs at least R2E006 firmware to use the HBH-30.
I took it to a Sony Ericsson service centre to be upgraded, only to be told that my phone was not meant for the UK market. The KRC number is wrong!
TMobile agreed there was a problem and they would send me another phone.
I have a brand new T68i with a different KRC number, but it is still wrong!
I am now fighting for a THIRD new phone.
In the UK the KRC numbers should be:
(it's on the back of the phone, behind the battery)
CDA 102 103/43
CDA 102 103/54
or CDA 102 103/55
TMobile sent me phones with
CDA 102 103/114
and CDA 102 103/66
Both intented to be used in foreign climbs so they can't be updated in the UK.
Watch out! If you are in the UK check your phone.

Actually, this doesn't matter as I can upgrade T68i phones regardless of 'KRC' numbers. And my U.K. T68i doesn't match any of the ones you have given!!!
Which service centre did you use?

I also bought my t68i directly from T-Mobile and i also have a HBH-30 and want to get my phone fireware upgraded to R2E006.
My also says 'CDA 102 103/66'.
Does this mean i cant get my phone software upgraded ?
I am going to take it to the CPW Express Service Centre in Greenford.

When I use my HBH-30 the sound quality is very poor and originally everyone in customer services told me that my Phone Firmware needed updating.
They now think it may be a faulty HBH-30, even though my firmware has NOT been updated.
I had a call from T-Mobile customer services today and they now say CDA 102103/66 is a UK version phone, but it is so new that Sony Ericsson UK haven't got that particular code on their system yet as being a UK phone.
Maybe they'll have a story and stick to it soon.
Is your HBH-30 working OK? Is the voice quality the same as on your t68i?

Tell customer services to tell Sony Ericsson to update their lists.
Your CDA 102103/114 is a UK spec phone, but Sony Ericsson haven't added it to their lists.
If you hang on for a week or two, I may be able to sort this. I have a couple of contacts within T-Mobile handset division and I'm going to push them to talk to Sony Ericsson UK.
If you can't wait that long, speak to customer services, ask to get transferred to a guy called Les in team 326. He knows all about this problem and may advise you that if you want the update now, you will have to send your phone to a place in Telford.
I'm going to get this sorted because T-Mobile has told me different things everytime I have called them.
All the best,
Chris G
