> Weird pop setting behaviour on T68i

After wasting a couple of hours trying to make my T68i (R2B025) work with my swiss email provider, I decided to use a non existent pop server in order to see what kind of error message the phone would display. And surprise... It worked!!
In short: the correct pop server (pop.swissonline.ch) doesn't work, the wrong one (pop.swissonline.chh) does. And it does retrieve *my* messages, in case anybody wondered.
Can anyone confirm this? My (longtime) experience in producing SW bugs tells me the firmware has a problem in reading strings.... but it just sounds too silly.
A couple of details: the data account is a GSM (shouldn't matter), the mail server is a pop3 and works with pc, notebook and palm regardless of the ISP (wireless or not).
Can this be solved by flashing a new version of the firmware?
Thanks

PS: otherwise the phone is great.

Sounds like a bug as "pop.swissonline.chh" doesn't exist! Have you tried entering in the actual ip address "62.2.32.90"?

In my experience you should always use the IP-address when entering POP3/SMTP servers in Ericsson phones

I've done a few more tests, solved an unrelated problem and came to the following result. Now I can get my emails from
both pop servers: pop.swissonline.ch and pop.swissonline.chh. Of course the second one does not exist, and this makes me think that the pop setting has a length limit of 18 characters.
That means :
a) accessing servers by name will not work if they are longer than 18 chars (ex. mail.swissonline.ch)
b) ip addresses will always work (max. 15)
Can anyone confirm this? Any other settings are involved?
