I bought the phone from someone on Esato and cannot find any additional ringtones on the phone. I just have the default one and a search reveals - nothing! There is also no video either - I had a demo SE golf promotion before on both of my previous P910i's.
So where are they and how has someone managed to strip all the extras out? The phone is an Orange branded that was sold as unlocked.
Another gripe is I can't update the firmware because it tells me on the update service that my operator won't allow it. I am sure I managed to do it with a previous one? I am R2 something. Any ideas please?

I think u just did a hard reset right? well a hard reset will delete all user files including all ringtones etc.
So the only way is to update the Firmware via Sony Update service, by which will restore all files etc... but if u can't do it... maybe u can stop by the Service center and ask them to help u out...

good luck.

This page at uiqzone says that the latest version for Orange UK phones is R5B01: http://uiqzone.org/software/firmware_p910.php

So you should, in theory, be able to upgrade your R2*** phone to the latest R5 version. The fact that you clearly can't begs the question -- is it really Orange branded?

As far as ringtones are concerned, just do a Google, they're all over the place. The Sony Ericsson site has them here for instance:

An excellent site for downloading specific ringtones is www.polyphonicringtonez.com.

Hope you come right!
