ok so i am looking for some usefull apps for my new p900 when i get it so the only one i have in mind so far is sman is there a newer one than 1.3 which is what i had on my last phone, also any other apps which people might think i would be interested in please let me know

Lots of free games/utilitys on there for ya mate.
Personally I'd say Opera is a must have if you intend to use your phone to browse the internet. Games wise certainly Floss's SoldierAnts is the way to go. Others like vectoids and FreeMine (on the site) ae pretty good for wasting five minutes too.
