I set up an imap email account and it works but does anyone know how to have messages sent from your phone get saved on your "sent items" folder on the imap server?? Also, for "Drafts" etc...
I'm able to subscribe to those imap folders but I can't even move messages from the local "sent" folder to the imap server

SE says it automatically does but it seems the are (again) mistaken and there's no place to set it

by the same token shouldn't we be able to set it so that items deleted would also get deleted from the imap server?

anyone have any ideas??

Does anybody have experience with this?

For people who have imap accounts set up, are the messages sent from your phone being saved on your imap server "sent" folder??

They never are. It's a fatal flaw in SE's implementation.

That's why so many use a push solution (Smartner/Seven) or ProfiMail.

yeah, that's really stupid thing to leave out.

I'll check those products. any recommendations which is better?

Also, if you're using one of those clients and you click the email icon from and address book entry, does it take you directly to the SE stock messages application or can you have it take you to one of these email clients to compose the message?
