i have a p910 and the SE browser can't load hotmail page or my webmail.
I downloaded opera and it works but I was just curious if others have the same problem. is it some limitation in the SE browser?
Also, i seems that opera uses more battery than the SE browser, is that true?

Without doubt, opera is a much more capable browser than the built-in one. Its miles ahead in terms of its capabilities.

Yup,
the SE browser cannot run Java, whereas Opera can.
The battery issue is probably because people spend more time using it than the built-in browser!

*but* you have to pay Microsoft a tenner to get pop access to hotmail (not a bad deal really, think I might go for it)
You can't access hotmail from any browser other than Internet Explorer, either from a phone or a desktop, M$ are wankers.

I can access Hotmail using Opera on my P910, at
http://mobile.msn.com.

I can access Hotmail from my Mac using the Safari, Firefox, Opera & Mozilla... although I can't disagree with your second point!

Well I'm happy to stand corrected - I'd like to know how tho - spoofing the user agent to appear as IE?
EDIT:
Bizarre, I just tried Firefox to get into Hotmail and it worked fine, What I should clarify however is that you never *used* to be able to get into hotmail through any browser other than IE, I presume that the same changes they put in to support other PC browsers also applies to mobile browsers.

Sorry, but i have to disagree with both points. I check my hotmail several times a day on my S710 with the Java-based Opera-mini browser. I log in directly via hotmail.com.
