When I connect my K750 to my PC by using the USB cable, it says that it is charging, and indeed the battery increases. Is my phone being charged through the PC? How does that work?

All usb posts supply 5v to power external accessories. The phone uses this 5v to charge the phone. Usb2 has a higher current than Usb1. This message was posted from a WAP device
