According to a Swedish forum it is a symbianbased OS that is jointly developed between SE and Sharp, if it will leave Japan and come to Europe and US i belive and hope it will run symbian based UIQ3, the same OS as P990 wich is said to support non touchscreen handsets with a screenresolution down to QVGA, but maybe it won't even leave Japan?
