Had my new K750i phone for about a week and pretty happy with it. Got it all synced to my Mac PowerBook, upgraded the memory card and transferred plenty of tunes over.

I like the fact that you can assign mp3s as the ringtone, and it lists all your tracks on both your phone memory and card.

BUT when I go to assign a ringtone to a specific contact the phone only lists files on the phone memory, not the memory card!! Bugger

Does anyone know a work around?

Otherwise I am gonna have to edit all the tracks I want to use to 30 secs so i don't hog the memory, and transfer them to the phone memory.

Thanks

Mine shows both phone and card mp3's to select for contact ringtones.
Not sure why yours can't.
Make sure the tracks are in the right folder.

Also, it's better to have the mp3 in the phone memory anyway as you will encounter less problems with the phone ringing and if you don't need the full song then cut it to 30 secs to save space anyway.

They are in the MP3 folder on the card. Sorted into Artist/Album folders, which show up when selecting normal ringtone, just not contact ringtone.

Might try upgrading firmware, but i will have to find a Win PC to do it on.

Why not just set it through file manager instead of phonebook. Go to file manager, then to the mp3 you want, click more, use as contact ringtone

remember you can't access the stick from the phone whilst USB is plugged in.
