So has anyone switched from having a P-series back to a non-smartphone? If so, how did the transfer go? I ask because I'm not so sure I will be getting the P990. It looks good now, but I don't imagine the specs seeming so great by the time March or April comes around. That's about 6 months away! So much can happen in that time. I like the looks of UIQ 3 and most of the functionality of the P990, but I'm not as thrilled as I thought I'd be. I don't like the flip keypad. I much prefer the one on the P910. Plus, I don't like how the back of the flip is blank again as on P900. The phone seems like it is missing something now that I am used to the keyboard on the P910. I know everyone will say to take the flip off, but I always use the flip on the P910. I think SE should put something cool on the back of the flip of the P990, like a multi-directional pad or another screen or something (I know it's not realistic, but it would be neat). Plus, I wish they had made it smaller.
So this brings me to possibly going for the W900, which will be coming out much sooner. But I've gotten so used to everything the P-series has to offer that I don't know if I'll be happy with a regular phone again. So if anyone has switched from P to non-P, let me know how you dealt with it and whether you think it's a stupid idea or a good idea.
Thanks

A long time ago i bought a P900 and found it annoyingly slow and cumbersome as a phone. I replaced it with a iPaq 4500 and a T630 and didnīt regret it for a second. ff to around 2 months ago, i bought Nokia 6680 and guess what.. I find it annoyingly slow, and realize it will never be able to replace iPaq and phone combo.. Guess i am a slow learner
Seriously - Symbian smartphones fail to rock my boat, i have realized that now, and placed a pre-order on a W900
I might keep 6680 as a work phone tho.

I went from a P900 to an S700, after about 2 months I went and got a P910.
I realised that a P Series is my phone.

I did. Sold my P900 to K700 and K508, then to W800 and K300 and then my latest phones are W800 and Z520 (Z520 just bought yoday). My K700 still remains...

Well I suppose even if I went for the W900, I would still have my P910 to fall back on if I needed it. But I don't want to waste money on a new phone if I'm just gonna go back to the trustworthy P910. Do you think the P990 is worth waiting for or should I go for the W900 and just keep my P910 around? This is a tough decision; I usually know exactly what phone I want! By the way, is there any chance of SE changing any of the specs for the P990 before it is released?
Thanks for all the input so far. Only problem is that it seems like a split decision on whether it is good or bad to switch...

I found that whilst having all the things on the p900 is usefull and i make use of them when i haev the fone, if i don't have them i don't miss them AS much.
