Does ProfiMail drains the battery much? I've installed the demo on my P900 and the battery runs out in a day!

I have many apps in my P900 but have never used one that drain so much battery.
Profimail search for e-mails, therefor it must be open (in the background).
I found ProfiMail very good but will not buy it because my battery wont last for a day if i use it, so pitty...
