I was thinking why in some places, like in a gas station, there is a warning saying: "Turn Off your Mobile Phone" or something like that. Is there any danger leaving your phone on or is just a precaution??

there is theoretical possibility that spark from circuits of mobile phone can provoke explosion of flamable gases... :-) This message was posted from a T610

Or that you drop the fone on the gas and it causes a spark.

Or that you drop the fone on the gas and you wet the fone... then you have a wet fone

Thank you so much masseur And sorry for posting a thread already discussed, I promise use the search function twices the next time I post a new thread

So I wonder, why does it says "Turn Off your Mobile" isn't the phone still working with the battery while it's still off?? Or thats what I think, because the clock and alarm functions are still working

EDIT: And did anyone hear the new about a phone (a Sharp in Vodafone) which exploted when the owner was trying to make a call??
