hey all, now recently the space on the C drive of my P900 has been getting smaller and smaller and basically im after a FREE alternative to diskcleaner cos frankly the trial is useless and more frustrating due to it not actually doing anything.

any tips?

Maybe delete stuff you dont need like useless apps, pics, movies, music, etc. There are no free apps that do this, and I agree, DiskCleaner is poo!

instead of buying diskcleaner, use it to search for the junk files then note down the file extentions and delete them with a file manager!!!

I donīt think junk files is the problem, mostly it is all msg with pic etc taking up the space. On P910 this is no problem because of the bigger memory. I personally like SysCleaner which finding the "rests" of unistalled apps, earlier I needed to check after files manually if there was some left.

Hope you are not saying that you agree to give away full version of DiskCleaner, or what is your reply supposed to mean? I have no problem to understand how it works. After uninstalled any apps and you use DiskCleaner then itīs showing if any folders/files are left. But I think all need to know what they are deleting when using that app. But donīt expect to find lot of space left for you, this is not what DiskCleaner actually is for.

Haven't used P900 much and badly screwed the 910. But I remember using BlueEyes, some External File Manager and TaskSpy from PushL.com. Non exactly is an 'uninstaller'. But over time, I effectively used the first two to pin redundant files and Taskspy to find what proccess use what and for free.ing ROM. As for messages taking up space- am clueless. Thought the P900 could take enuf. I store the files from the Pict Msgs on the ext. mem and delete the msg though to keep things orderly. This message was posted from a S700
