Hi,
I have a usb data cable with prolific pl-2303 chip, and
I want to modify it and make an unlocking cable according to
the discussion here:http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=17145
(Although I have 5 wires in my cable, and not 4).
I want to build a serial end instead of the usb.
My question is, do I need the chip if I use serial end?
Do I need the chip if I use a usb-serial adapter?
