Hi everybody !

Lets say that i am doing a kind of survey on preferred phone styles. The options are between candybar, flip/clamshell, slide and swivel phones. Given the choice, and asked the primary question as to which style you would prefer, please post your replies.

The manufacturer is not important, just the style.

So, guys and gals, which phone do you prefer?

By flip, I assume you mean clamshell design rather than the flip on a P series phone?

In which case, candybar for me every time. I've had a couple of clamshell phones in the past and found both of them to be a bit of a novelty at first, but rather tiresome to use in the long term, not to mention that the flip mechanism eventually failed on both phones!

I've never owned a swivel phone but I imagine that I'd feel the same way about those too.

Also, I just like the candybar form factor. It's basic, functional, works really well and in my opinion can look much more stylish.

The one I prefer is not among the list (slider phone)

Basically a Choice of Form Factor between- Candy Bar, Clamshell, Swivel and maybe add Slider. > The ease of use of Candybar is unbeaten. Candybar for small form factor and ease of use. The swivel and slider form factors are good as they maximise the screen size, but at the expense of usability and size. I've never liked clamshells, plain ugly and difficult to open one handed. Many still have an external antenna - how lame. This message was posted from a K700i
