I've had my P910i for a couple days and so far so good, but I have some questions I cannot find the answer to:
1. Is there any way to change the volume of the key/screen tap click sound? I like this sound but it's WAY too loud.
2. Is there any way to delete an email on the P910 without having the e-mail also deleted from my server? This is a really standard option that I cannot believe is missing from the P910.
3. Does leaving Bluetooth on all the time drain the battery? Seems like my battery level is going down pretty fast. I wish there were a 2-click way to turn Bluetooth on and off but it's more like 4 clicks.
I probably have more questions but I don't want to be a pain.
TIA

If you go to the control panel on it and look under sounds and alerts you can change the screen tap sound i think or just put it in silent.

Not had a p910i for awhile so cant before exactly were to find it, but i think its under control panel.

Thanks for the replies—I forgot to mention that I do know how to change the screen click to silent, but I would like to be able to use the click on a lower volume level instead of not at all.

You can't change the volume, but you can turn it off completely --
Go to Control Panel > Device tab > Sounds and alerts > Other tab
Select 'Button click', 'Screen tab' and 'Key press' as appropriate from the 'User action' drop-down list, then select the Silent option from the 'Sound' drop-down.

Select the message you want to delete from the P910 (by ticking the checkbox to the left of it), then select the 'Local delete' option from the Message menu.

Yes!

There is! Get a third-party key mapper app and you set one of the hardware buttons (like the Internet or Camera buttons) to bring up the Bluetooth menu up in one push. I use KeyMapper myself for this very purpose, though there are others.

You may also wish to look at Magic Profiles Pro, which lets you set up various profiles on the phone. Each profile can contain a bluetooth on or off setting. You can switch between profiles with just a couple of clicks.

1. I don't think there's a way to separately change the volume of key clicks etc. I suppose it can be done with adjustments to the general sound level, but I admit that's a horrible kludge.

2. No idea. I never delete mail from the server anymore.

3. Here's the Secret 2-Way Bluetooth Click:
I assigned (in Magic Launcher) the Internet button to "Bluetooth" (it's in the drop-down list). Now, with [virtual] flip closed, pressing that button brings up a simple screen with "Bluetooth" on top and 2 radio buttons: "Off" and (surprisingly!) "On". Judicious use of the jogdial will turn Bluetooth either off or -- you guessed it! -- on.

I don't know if other applications with button-control allow the same functionality.

@scormie: the local delete thing works, but I had the surprise to have the deleted email back when performing the next sync with the server.

Unlike outlook, apparently, P910 forgets that the message is deleted and displyas it again.

OK, first of all, thanks to everyone for the advice!
I tried the "local delete" option but, strangely, it deleted the body of the message and kept the header in my inbox. If I click on it, it proposes to download the body. If I select the checkbox next to it and go to the Message menu, "Local delete" is now grayed out. WTF?

As for the BT shortcuts, I'm going to test out the tricks suggested. Sounds good!

Lastly, I cannot figure out how to lower the sound of the clicks via any kind of general volume setting. Seems you can only set the volume the Ring tone.

IMHO- the tap / key sound volume can not be adjusted. Its there or remains unchecked/ not there. > as for Two Tap BT activation. WITHOUT external Apps- I used to have ATLEAST one paired device. That made the BT logo sit on my screen (next to network bars). I dunno if its different for branded sets.. This message was posted from a S700

Yes, it is a bit pants I have to agree. You actually have to download the body *before* being able to perform a local delete. Once you've downloaded the body, the Locate delete option becomes active for that message.

As you rightly say, even after a local delete, the header remains.... Which is a bit weird and, frankly, not much use if the subject line and/or sender is the bone of contention!
