> mp3 ringtone quality on w800i

Hi. Just wondering if the mp3s (when used as ringtones) sound different to the same mp3s when played back through the walkman menu on the SE w800i.
I used to have a k750i and the mp3s when used as ringtones sounds really off-key. Does the w800i have the same issue?
I have such bad luck. I sold my k750i on ebay a few weeks ago and reverted back to my excellent moto v620. My little kid threw the moto in a pond whilst on a family camping trip. It got recovered and even then the moto works- but the ring lights on the front go crazy and flash all the time and it intermittently switches itself off. I regret selling the k750i now.
Now im considering the w800i which i've seen around for less than i sold the k750i for.
