> Question about firmware update

I want to flash my phones (to experiment a bit), so I downloaded some firmware files, I searched for t28 service cable, but noone wants to sell it (I can't believe they don't have it, because all of the shops I visited do flash phones). But now someone tells me cable is not enough, and I must buy some more hardware. So please help me to clarify- are t28sc+flash files enough to change firmware, or I really need something more? How is cable connected to pc (over usb or serial port)? 10x
