i did exactly as said in the 'overview' and also followed the instructions etc that showed up in SEUS. it gets to the 'updating' part where i have to hold the C button until the updating begins.
i turned my phone off. waited 20+ seconds
held C. plugged USB cable in
the update does NOT begin within 15 seconds, or any amount of seconds as of yet, and for 2+ minutes i hold the C button hoping something will happen.
unfortunately it does not.

the model of my phone is k750i, unfortunately a Vodafone branded one, and i bought it in Australia. current software is:
R1L002
prgCXC1250035_EU_2_CL R1L002

if that doesn't work make sure your phone is fully charged. that worked for me.
