have a k700 on orange it developed a fault (other people on a call could not hear me and the phone kept locking up) anyway orange sent it away, i kept the battery, came back few days later a letter with the phone explaining what was wrong and that they had done a firmware upgrade phone worked fine now however it would drain the battery in less than a day previously to the upgrade it would last about 3 days phoned orange they said the phone was drawing to much power from the battery so it was sent away all this as happened over a period of 2 weeks the phone as now been returned to me with a note saying the phone has had water damage and they are not prepaired to repair it now i know that i havent got it wet so whats going on with sonyericsson

It seems that either one of two things... either the phone has suffered water damage outside your hands (wilst in transport) or Theire trying to stiff you...

Water damage is not covered by warranty...

If your genuine about this claim protest the toss out of it.... I suggest a short trip to Citizens Advice Bureau.... If you in UK that is...

May I suggest a different tittle to your topic would be more appropriate. I was expecting something entirely different when I read it...
