I lost my p910i last night, replacement will arrive Tuesday.
Is it just a simple matter of restoring my last backup to the new phone and reregistering all the softwares with the new IMEI?

yes, though I have found registering a new IMEI with some software vendors is not so easy but patience usually pays off and most will give you new codes

I'm hoping I won't have too much difficulty as I have quite a few support and registration emails for most of the softwares but others will depend on goodwill on the part of the original suppliers I suppose.
