I'm thinking of buying a dongle for my pc to use it with W800, but I wanted to know what it can be used for! A couple of questions:
1) Which programs support it? (FMA, MyPhoneExplorer, etc.)
2) Can you copy files directly to / from the memory stick (not only the phone's memory)?
3) Which is approx. the file transfer speed over USB 2.0?
4) Is it a lot of hassle to make it work?
5) What can be done with it!! Add contacts, edit appoinments, calendar, notes, etc etc (I guess... using FMA or something)

4, No, however if you have win xp with sp2 then you will have to re install the bt drivers to make it work properly otherwise you will be using the microsoft native bt drivers. If you get the D-Link DBT 120 dongle then this is all explained on their website.
5, Yes you can do all of this using the right applications, plus you can send and receive any file to your phone.

I use my bluetooth connection for sms sending with FMA. I only have USB 1.1, and when I had my K700i it took about 30 minutes to transfer mp3 files onto the 40 mb storage - so very slow.
You can also use the bluetooth connection for e.g. business presentations, by using your mobile as a remote. For example change pages in powerpoint.
You can also use it to control Winamp, which is useful if you have your computer in another room hooked up to your stereo in the living-room. Since the T68i it's been possible to retrieve the list of mp3 files in Winamp, and control the music remotely that way.

Yes you will be able to copy your files as if you are using the cable, however you will only be able to see the file structure of the memory card if you are using the se pc suite or fma ect in conjunction with your bt dongle. If not then you will only sending and receiving files via bt. When you send via bt straight to your phone without using pc suite or fma, then the file gets placed into the corrrect folder for you. ie- video into the video folder, .jar into the games or apps folder.

Personally I use bluetooth a lot for sync-ing contacts, meetings and so on.
For the exchange of files I use my Vaio's integrated MS reader which is much faster. If you are a heavy user I suggest you take into consideration buying a USB 2.0 multicard reader. It is surely cheap and will streamline the process of transfering music.
In my experience music is really the only thing that get too slow using BT to tranfer it. Pics are ok in terms of transfer speed via BT but Mp3 take ages.
So, it depends on what you plan to use your BT for. I am really happy to have it, as I am really unorganized and tend to hate (loose...) cables...

My W800i has inbuilt softwares like 1) Desktop - Your joystick works as your mouse. 2) Media player - Complete control over windowa media player.. ( I guess same softwares are present in K750i also )

I bought a new USB Bluetooth dongle earlier this year with an aim to transfer files and contacts from phone to pc, but I discovered it also has the ability to act as the arrow keys, Start menu key and also control the mouse pointer. I was using a K700i so dont know if it works with any other handset. Pretty nifty!
