I have had a bad apple week. Some may remember my 'im really pissed off..... thread' that I started a few days ago, when my 2 week old (though 2nd hand) powerbook hard disc failed and I had to cough up for a new one (though the old owner was very kind and paid half of the new hd cost). Now not as pissed off, but fairly annoyed (this didnt hold a weeks work) my 4th gen ipod is deaded, go to switch it on and nothing, plug it in and nothing. Worst of all it died on dock just before about to be played on my pc. This has not been a great week for me and my apple relations, on the plus side I saw Wallace and gromit last night and it was rather amusing, which I enjoyed.
End of my pointless rant.
wonder if my ipod is covered by warrenty?

I hope so lol, if not I will be a little bit more pissed off, though good news is the other week I bought a 4th gen 20gb ipod for 87 quid so if all goes tits up il use that and sell mine on for spares whan it arrives.

They should do my 6 month old powerbook went in for repair and i thought they were going to fob me off, they picked it up on the monday and it was back fixed on the wednesday (superb service)
If it is an ipod though they will probably just replace it.
I know other people who have had theres replaced before without any problems.
I think you have just been unlucky luke i really do, don't let this put you off.

damn right i still love apple stuff, the mac is fixed now and im loving it lol, il just use my p910i i for a mp3 player, or maybe the w800i ive got, or possibly the k750i as i dont mind if that gets trashed, decisions decisions. Do you recon they would replace the ipod with a ipod video or is that just to hopeful?

they will just swap like for like probably unless it can be fixed they will just fix it, i still need to sell my ipod so i can get a video one.

I have achually bought one from a friend for £87.00, but it hasnt come yet as they are out of the uk at the moment so may be interested.
