Hi,
I know that similar posts have been threaded in the past, but I am trying to find out how I can use the T68i on California's T-Mobile network to receive pop. While GPRS and WAP works, whenever I try POP (via GMS to dial-upISP OR GPRS voicestream) it fails - trying several different POP accounts I have. Using dial-up it 'connects' then 'finds server' then is 'VERIFYING'. That times out after about a minute stating that 'cannot connect to server'. I have tried to follow past directions but none proved successfull. ANY help would be GREATLY appreciated. T-Mobile, when called, says that they don't support POP/SMTP (and Imap4) at this time...

Thanks,
Daniel.

I think T-Mobile has answered you question for you!

If they do not support access to POP and SMTP servers (and they can restrict this on their firewalls by securing ports 110 and 25) then dialling up through CSD/GSM or GPRS isn't going to work.

You could try dialling up another ISP (probably have to use CSD) if you want access to POP and SMTP servers on the internet, as long as they allow access to 3rd party POP and SMTP.
