> P910i: Arabic words appear backwards
Bookmark topic
Hello.
I am the new owner of a p910i. i bought it while stationed in iraq. unfortunately i have a problem with the arabic words ...
my problem is as follows:
the phone displays words in reverse (in arabic)
at first when i bought the phone it appeared as all squares. I
have fixed this by installing the right fonts but now in the
contacts list names appear in reverse so for example if i
wanted to type the word البيت i would end up getting the word in
reverse with the last letter first so it would look like this: تيباا
this appears in the list as i said above but when i select the
conatct the word appears properly so only when there is a list
do the words appear wrong.
i have emailed psiloc, the creators of the program, arabic
localization for p900 and they said the problem is with the
firmware.
i am trying to be optimistic here but i am running out of
patience. i mean on top of the fact that SE didnt provide full
localization for the arab users i cant even get the words to
appear right. jeez (you can tell i am upset).
any help is appreciated!
my p910i info is:
phone: CXC162042 R4E001
ORGANIZER: CXC162041 R5B01
CDA: CDA162005/3 R5A02

Hi
I recomend you seach for that topic in an arabic forum.
Some time ago I've bumped into several of them while searching for software for the UIQ.
Good luck
