Hello guyz. I recently bought my k750i just about a month ago. I have been noticing the camera and encountered a problem. The camera takes photos but its not clean. It has some sort of dots/lines/noise and haziness which really disturbs the photo when taken in low lighting conditions. When in daylight these dots/lines/noise seem to fuse/blend with the brightness of the photo and it can be hardly seen. I have upgraded from the SE K700 to k750i. And for ur information i have noticed even more noise and haziness in k700i.
This is the current firmware Iam using:-

After I press the capture button the photo taken seems to become blurry and hazy. I hope you guyz can give me a proper explanation or a solution. Iam attaching a picture taken in very low lighting condition with flash off and night mode off (normal settings).
Please help! It will be nice to hear from u guyz.

Just check once if the camera lens is not dirty... if it is then clean with a cloth and try to click next pic..

no. iam not using night mode or flash. The dark photo is resized so the dots/lines/noise seem to be less. But you can see the picture of the printer is of very low quality with dots/lines/noise!

Not sure I understand the problem.

Its absolutely normal that pictures from digital cameras become noisy in low light conditions, its a fact of nature, and the reason why things like nightmode and flashes are invented, and why proffesional photographers setup big spots to light up the room when they need to take good indoor shots, even with pro equipment. Cameras takes pictures by letting light in through a lens, if there are no light or not enough light quality will suffer.

Also bear in mind that this is a cameramodule in a phone, a module which single value/cost is maybe only 10% of the entire cost of the phone. Imagine the difference between a 20-30$ cameramodule and a 300$ dedicated digicam, and how much you actually get out of that cameramodule in good conditions.

In short, lower your expectations to a reasonable level, your pictures look absolutely normal for a K750 or even a normal lower range digicam, considering the amount of avaliable light. Theres nothing wrong with your phone, if you can take good pictures in good natural lighting.

K750 takes fantastic pictures for a phone, under optimum lighting conditions, under low light conditions it cannot take fantastic pictures, but you can improve them alot by getting the add on flash if its important to you to take low light pictures.

numb. thank u for the kind words. but i just wanted to know if the picture quality in other k750 are the same or not. i know its not a digital cam but a part me me tells the quality should have been better. thanks again.
and guys does the firmware has anythin to do with this?

Some have claimed it does - in the picture comparisons I've seen on esato I have never been able to satisfy myself that there is a difference between firmwares.

If anything, the early firmware R1A is better than the later firmwares, however if so the margin is so small as to be hard to really assess, especially without side by side photos of the same subject in the same low light conditions.

I believe the firmware could change things like what ISO the camera chooses for given conditions, but such choices are always compromises, for example higher ISO shots means more detail visible in lowlight, but also more grain in the picture.

The real cause of the lines you get in low light simply comes down to the limitation of the hardware. As numb says, this is to be expected of any digital camera in the same class as the K750.

k750i is not a digicam... i had the same pictures in low light conditions and it is pretty normal. that's the diff between a CMOS and CCD camera... but pictures in broad daylight is comparable with a digital camera
