I updated AGES ago, back when many people who upgraded got major problems and had to send their phone in for repair.
I've never had any problems and I think since the reissue it's been working great for everyone.

one thing though....on dial up from Cape Town the SE(Africa) site is slooooowwww.
also i nearly forgot to sync/backup after the upgrade.
