Is this Possible or the only way i can do it is with the docking station?

AFAIK, the phone would sync over BT if you are using Outlook. If you use any otehr pacakge, the phone may not resognise that?
On my old PC, I had Outlook, but then I had to use a BT Dongle, as teh pc didn't have BT built in. Once that was done, I then had to go into Outlook to try and sync the contacts.
HOpe that helps, it may be completely worong, but only based upon my experience, cheers.
