Hi all
Anyone on orange and got the w800? What firmware does the phone come with? i.e default? Has anyone managed to upgrade to the latest firmware without any bugs? or has everyone stayed with the default firmware and has the phone been working ok ???

because I went to orange shop today they said all there phones have been trouble free.

So can anyone confirm what is going on with there w800 on Orange network.

thanks

Miyagi

had w800 on orange uk for about 2 months. It has got R1L firmware, cos that's all there was back then. I'm happy with the overall performance and stability of the phone, and I've not been tempted to update to the latest.

I got mine on Orange jus over a month ago, cant remember orig firmware tbh, but now have updated! Foolishly !!

Am suffering a couple of the bugs as mentioned, like the hiss when in media player, and it crashes from time to time wen usin bluetooth, annoying but nothin im losing sleep over.

I jus wanna get the thing updated to a stable firmware once one is released before I get it unlocked, cos am scared if I get it unlocked that I wud be stuck with this firmware for eva!!! ARGGHHH

I have a Sony Ericsson W800i on Orange. It came with the RIL002 Firmware and i suspect it has some bugs because sometimes my calls and menu bars in the screen disappear and afterwards the phone reboots flashes white then comes on again lol, i should have a word with the people at phones4u.

Mine came with R1N035 on it, and nothing but problems. The first one wiped the memory card clean, and rendered it useless, the second one is nothing but bother with bluetooth, always freezing, menus freezing, and rebooting.

I have realised a new problem. When i attempt to connect to my memory stick on my W800i through the bluetooth on my laptop, my bluetooth freezes on the laptop, and the W800i reboots when i end the bluetooth application on my laptop. Would this be because of the bluetooth on my laptop or the W800i firmware.
