Hi there,

I've just stuck Opera mini on my W800i so I can hopefully get to Yahoo mail easily.

It's working fine but I've one question about what settings the phone should use when connecting to the web via Opera Mini.

In the phone menu, under Menu > Settings > Connectivity > Data Comm > Preferred Service there is the option of "GSM Only" or "GPRS and GSM". Which one should be active? Currently it's GSM only.

Do I need to change this or should I instead go to Menu > Settings > Connectivity > Settings for Java? (Opera is Java based)

In there I have :-
PAYT MMS
PAYT WAP
Contract MMS
Contract WAP (Currently selected)
Vodafone GPRS

Am I right in thinking I should select "Vodafone GPRS"? -

My email settings are currently set to "Vodafone GPRS" and they work OK.

Edit - Just checked and Opera will only connect when the Java settings are "Contract WAP". Changing Java settings to "Vodafone GPRS" gives a connection error in Opera.

The data transfer I've used so far (sending emails directly via the phone) so far have shown up on my bill under Kb transferred, and this is taken off the inclusive texts I get so I don't pay anything if I only use it a bit.

I got the Vodafone GPRS setting on the phone when I went to the Sony Ericsson website and it sent the settings to me.

Any advice appreciated
