I'm one of the mugs who've bought an HBH-600 to find that even when freshly charged it can't handle more than about a half hour's conversation. And even if left switched off for a couple of weeks or so the battery goes dead.
What replacement Sony Ericsson headset can I get that's got a meaningful battery life in the real world then (for in-car use mainly I should add)? I have to stick with SE, though it grates, cos I've got an SE charger in the car.
Your thoughts would be welcome.

I use a HBH 660 and it lasts for uite ba long time. I had an hours conversation on it the other day and still had plenty of battery left. The 662 is supposed to have a longer lasting battery than the 660.

Your HBH-600 has to be faulty (or dead battery maybe?). Cause I have used mine for much longer than 0,5h with no problems.

I agree, and searching on this forum and elsewhere reveals that it's quite a common problem with the HBH-600.
Unfortunately my warranty period has now expired so I'm up the proverbial sh*t creek without a paddle!

Try the Plantronics Explorer 320, will give at least 8 hours talktime and they claim upto 10 hours on some phones.

I've got an HBH662 and the batt life is great! At least for me: 2-3 days with heavy talking.

What about with heavy breathing though heh heh heh ...?
But seriously, I am honing in on the 662.
Thanks to everyone for your input.

662 is most probably a great choise. Haven't read any negative feedback about it.

after trying several BT headsets, I ended up with a Jabra BT250 and have been Very happy with it. It lasts me approximately 4-5 days constatntly on with ~ 1/2 to 1hr of talk time per day. Only feature I miss on it is that it does not talk back to my SE phone so that I can check the battery level (something my 1st BT headset, an HBH-10 did).
