Dear All,
Has anyone ever fiaced a problem with their phone like this? The menu screen gets highlighted with a black square & the phone automatically goes to silent mode. The only solution I have been told about is to turn my phone off more than just once a week. I need to leave my phone on 24/7 for work reasons. Does anyone know a solution or an answer to my problem? I also know someone who I work with suffering the same problem.

The black area is maybe caused by a faulty theme. Try change the theme and see if that solves it. Don't know about the reboot thing. I've have my K750 on without reboot 24/7 for months. But I have also hear that it is smart to do a reboot once in a while.

Have tried it on different theme's & even the ones that come with the phone itself & the problem still occurs. Thanks for your help & i will keep trying to figure it out. I have contacted SE with problem & are waiting for reply.

I have the same issue...
Did you find the answer yet?

With me it occurs after 23hours uptime, with every theme, even after master reset...

Very annoying...

Maybe you should just turn it in and ask for a replacement. Is it under a warranty? This message was posted from a K750

software is up-dated to the latest available from the net, am still waiting for a reply from Sony about problem. I have been told to turn it off more often, at least once a day by the dealership. Poor excuse to solve the problem I think?

Must be a software issue.

Workaround.

I found out that if you do not enter the menu the normal way but using the activity meny I do not get the black box...and the phone keeps on working...

Many of us have the same problem. Its not mentioned for first time.
My phone doesn;t ring when have the black square, so i lose incoming calls.
I updated my phone 3 times with R1AA and now at least rings most of the times but the black square still exists.

Shame on you S.E.
