I am presently using palm m130 for maintenance of my contacts, which are around four and half thousand in number.Kindly let me know if it is possible to store all these contacts in P910i.Would it be possible to synchronise all these contacts, which are stored in MS Outlook.
What is maximum number of contacts one can have on P910i

I've just checked the P800 manual and white paper and find no information regarding a limit.

Doing a search of old thyreads here does suggest there is a limit of 1000 contacts but there are also a few posts where people claim more than that

As far as I'm aware it's limited only by your memory. There is no set 'limit' as such, you'd have to figure it out by the proportion of the space on your C: Drive free and how big each contact is.

I mean seriously with 500 contacts on a 64k sim and over 5000+ or limitless on the unit, using a mem card seriously its no a factor at all. I have 270 and its like just scratching the surface the 910 is one of those phones where contact memory isnt a factor.

I think it is limited by the sync software.

Depending on the amount of info on your individual contacts, mine hovers around 2500-2600 on my P900. Once it exceeds the limit (I think it's around 1500 kb) then it doesn't update anymore when I sync.

I just created a second contact folder in Outlook and keep moving older contacts so they don't sync with the P900 anymore.

FYI...on the P900, it is really slow to search such a large contact base (too slow IMO).

This issue with size may have been corrected in the P910?

I have around 300 contacts with 2-3 numbers and mail add and they all add up to max 250 kb.I guess that it's limitless-what would that be? This message was posted from a WAP device

I store 358 names (I've just reduced it from over 500 names) with an average of 3 phone numbers (1 work, 1 home, 1 mobile).

I do not experience my P900 being slow when opening Contacts, well a bit slow actually but not a problem for me. I feel the slow performance when backing up the contacts.

OTOH, synchronizing them with Outlook is quite fast.
