Hi there,

Every other phone I've had (all Nokias) have turned off the backlight automatically whilst mid call to save battery life.

It seems that the W800i keeps the screen backlight on all the time you're in a call.

Seems to be a waste of battery life if you're having a half hour phone call.

Is there any way of setting it to turn off after 30 seconds or so whilst in a call?

Well... you can't turn the backlight off. Also, if you check, it's turned on, but in a 'dimmer' state, so using less power.

And if you have 30 minutes call then you should be worrying more about you phone provider's charging than the one of the battery! LOL

This same problem happened when the K700 first came out. SE put it right in a firmware update but I cannot believe they have done it again on this phone!

Talk about not learning from your mistakes...
