not a question, but an answer!

I've put motorola's software on my PC that they use for their A1000 symbian model. It works perfectly, and it works perfectly over bluetooth (if a little slow, but I'm sure that can be fixed!)

There's one snag though. You need to put up with Motorola branding!

Make sure you have the latest syncstation driver installed (if you're transferring by cable), dump PC suite (you can always download it if it you don't like it), and install the A1000 software. for BT, right click on the connection taskbar icon, and you have a choice to add a BT connection. DON'T initialise pairing from your phone (it went a bit scwewy for me!).

It does everything PC suite does, sync, backup, etc, the file manager will even look at ALL files on your C and D drives (no access to A or Z though)

I got my copy of the software from the downloads section of http://machman.gotdns.com/index.php (and no, I'm not affiliated in any way!)

Please bear in mid that I've only been running it since this afternoon, and although I've had both PC and phone on and off, and BT enabled/disabled, things are still working, although of course this by no means constitutes a "long term" test!
