Have just seen the end of a UK advert for the new Sony Walkman,No mention of Ericsson and a picture of a purple player.Any pictures or info much appreciated.

you said it doesnt mention Ericsson. Why would it?!? its a sony player... not a phone

we helped someone get an answer and that is a large part of what we do here at Esato
actually, I have a colleague who is desperately waiting for one of these to be available at the Baker Street Sony shop at which point I get to have a little play
and I reckon its pretty cool from all the links he has sent me about it!

It is what our community here on Esato do I shall agree with you fully on that point.
But personally I feel there are too many general threads, such as this for example, that have no reason to be here, it would have taken the guy less time to search Google for ''new sony walkman'' than it took him to create a new thread and wait for replies!

although I have never owned a dedicated music player, I for one can see me getting a Sony music/video player some day rather than any ipod offering. I know Batesie is a fan of the Sony players too.
Anyway, I'll use this thread to post some comments when my colleague finally picks his up. They were supposed to be available from the 7th November but he is still waiting. Maybe now they are advertised on TV they will be here soon.
its a well spec'd device actually.
engadget have some good live pics of it

In Japan there's 2 limeted editions Gold and Black. the black looks the best, i cant put a picture cuz i use my PSP.
