The register - The Cell chip - what it is, and why you should care

PCMAG - IBM Gears Cell Chip for Industry and Game Systems

The inquirer - IBM's Cell chip hype is total junk

etc etc

Well its 10× more powerfull than an average pc. Ken Kutaragi said it will able 2 display 120fps(frames per second) but the human eye can only see 77 i think thats just a bit what Cell can do.

Cell is capable on its own way. Whether itll be capable of being successfull outside ps3 and toshiba, ibm applications is another question. This message was posted from a T610

It's certainly a very hyped-up bit of kit, it'll be interesting to see if the end results are anywhere near as impressive as what IBM and co. are promising.

BTW, a 486 PC with a 1MB video card is capable of 120fps. It all depends on exactly what it has draw 120 times per second!
