Aside from the buggy phone and many problems i've had within a week of having it, and STILL not being able to get on with it, i'm left with these problems:

Firstly, the loaded Tunes worked and played perfectly. Then i decided to install Disc2Phone and try and get some mp3's copied over. No such luck, copied around 4 out of 20.

THEN... when i tried to play any other song on the phone (even the ones that were on there already) i got a message saying "File needs to be activated in file manager" or something like that.

After a reset and alot of messing around, i managed to somehow get them playing again. However, i STILL cannot play ANY message tones. When i go to Settings > Sounds > Message Tones, then try to play them, it says "Cannot Play This File"... Now, i am not sure where these files are stored on the phone, so i can't access them to check for corruption, etc.

Can anyone help me with any of these problems?

Any help would be great, because i'm making another list of problems i'm having.

It probably have something to do with your firmware version, since it has a lot of bugs for most users.

If you got it new, you should take it back to where you bought it and tell them exactly what you are having troubles with (not thay they will understand thou, cause they tend to be very limited...), but you will either get a "fix" (rollback to previous firmware version; which I think it's quite impossible to happen) or a new phone.

If you show them your problems, they will have no choice but to help you out somehow:

- Refund
- New Phone
- Another phone

Good luck pal

I'll do my own firmware, no problems, but the latest version of Davinci Team's Client tells me i need another cable, rather than the supplied one. Can you recomend one? And also a Firmware that i can put on? I already have bought 2 Credits for the software, thinking i could use my cable, but obviously not.

Any more help would be great.

Did you download the relevant USB drivers from DavinciTeam and in the client select DCU-60 in the dropdown box, and also then 'test cable'?

When i try to connect the cable / phone, it reconizes everything, and say's it's all successfull, its only when i look at the firmware versions, it says you need a service cable for that particular version, and that it won't work with a DCU_60...

Any ideas? If so, what firmware should i go for?

Do you think an update will give me back my message & shutter sounds?

Firstly when you did the reset, was it a full master reset of 'all' settings. If not then try this, make sure you backup everthing on your phone mem 1st, then switch off, battery out, back on.

Secondly which firmware version are you running atm?
