Why are these phones still so expensive on eBay and the For Sale forum here? You can get the w800 from Buy.com for $430 and free shipping here:

I don't know if this ever happened, but here in Portugal K750i prices went up instead of down.
Optimus (local operator) start selling them for 229 euros in August, this week they changed it's price to 309 euros!!!
I heard it was because there was an "exporting" business blooming, and also our fellow spaniards were coming here to buy them cheaper.

In South Africa the W800i is ridiculously priced, around US$400 but I suspect the price will drop soon after Christmas...also the impending release of the W900i should hasten matters for all us bargain hunters.
