Hi, I was wondering who on esato played counterstrike?

I havent played the game for about 6months and most of thes ervers i used have gone dead.....

which servers does everyone use? If peopepl could list the server and IP i would be most grateful.

Aint tried source - is it any better? i like the bigger servers - say 30/32 player.....

well i play both. Im a bit of a Scoutzknives addict and it just sucks on Source cos of the whole "real-physics" thing they got going on.

Source is a huge improvment for standard maps though.. italy, dust etc etc. But if you want to play the big servers you gotta have the computer to go with it. I mean, my computer is pretty crap so i run it on medium settings and usually just play on 16-20 player servers. So it is worth-while getting for the standard maps, if you have the computer and internet connection to enjoy it

im not at home rite now, but i'll give u some ip's of the larger servers i can find when i am

Also i have this pc:
Athlon 2.2XP
512 DDR
300gig HDD
20Gig Scsi HDD
Geforce 6600GT (AGP x8) not PCI express

Internet - 1 Meg broadband

What settings should i run on this mate? if i used source? i never had a problem on 1.6 CS with this pc.....

Thats a nice setup u got there.. Source would run fine, even on high settings probably!!!

Source is and isnt free
You can download it for free... but thats only after to BUY Half Life 2!!! But it is worth it, i mean HL2 is only like £20, its a wiked game and u get Source for freeee!!

I loved the first halflife, so should really have bought this one (just dont get much time to play games anymore - thats why i normally just stick to cs)
