Hi, u can probably guess wat this thread is all about.

Can u lot recommend a good mp3 player? budget at the £200ish mark am prepared to go over if its worth it

Ive been basically been looking at verious mp3 players like the iriver H10. But was kind of put off with the fact u dont get an in-line remote... and i havent seen any reviews saying its excellent and worth the money. Does anyone own one?

i was also looking at the new Sony walkman, but seeing as its brand new its a little harder to get info on it like user info...so if any1 has got 1 pls let me know cos i have a few question about it.

But heres the spec basically:

Needs to be 20GB hard drive player
Radio would be nice
Colour screen is favourable but not needed
Not too keen on the ipods so any other mp3 players

Let me know what you lot have got.. i would appreciate it there may be sum free vodaphone/orange/virgin/o2 sims in it if ur helpful enough

Thanks in Advance

@50: I would suggest the ipod with video for your budget, but since you aren't too keen on it, the 20 gb sony HD player is a good option.

@50 i agree, the new walkman does look very nice, looks and style wise. The only gripe is that i too can't find any info on it, only thing i can dig up is that it is 'very loud, louder than any ipod' in terms of user opinion. So if anyone can shed some info it would be nice

Also you could look at buying one of those network walkmans? Or the very popular iriver series thats very popular with the techies.

suggestions:

Philips HDD120 20Gb MP3 Jukebox
CREATIVE ZEN SLEEK
SONY VAIO POCKET VGF-AP1

hope this helps

Yeh my brother already has an ipod so i dont want to get the same one. The thing with the Sony HD player, i dont want to be one of the "first" to try it... if you know what i mean. Like after a month of its release people may start to discover its kind of crap and i'll be stuck with it hehe. But its still an option for now, thanks

I realy like the Iriver ihp-120 but thats now been discontinued with the release of the new H10 series i belive Like i said unfortunately the new H-10s dont have the same finesse as the old ones.

But i have looked at the Creative Zen Sleek as you suggested. I've dont a few basic google searches and really like what im seeing so far. Its got everything i want:

-20GB
-Nice Styling
-FM radio with ability to record

I just gotta find out if it now has a cool in-line remote to go with it, if so i may consider getting it
But i will also take a look at the other 2 you suggested, and report back with my findings and also, What are the netowrk walkmans u were talking about?

Thanks for the reply mate

Philips HDD120 20Gb MP3 Jukebox too old
CREATIVE ZEN SLEEK Very appealing
SONY VAIO POCKET VGF-AP1 appealing but a little too expensive perhaps

Any1 had a hands on experience wit the Sleek?
